Relevance in strategic management research
Revolutionary theory is used in management to reshape the employee’s skills consistently to meet an organization’s demand. It entails teaching employees how to adapt to the changing environment in the market by enlightening them on how to apply technological ideas and devices to remain competitive. Again, employees are encouraged to adapt to the organization’s culture and work as a team and consulting continuously.
Limitations
Evolutionary theory does not provide detailed information about mutation, and it touches less on the role of evolution. The theory suggests that organism’s traits change because of adaptations to the environment, which is not true because mutations also influence how individuals think. The theory does not explain how human beings’ cultural and psychological context can influence their behavior and traits.
