Then write a one-page essay on this agreement. Here are a few examples of what you could write about: You may give a real example from your life or describe what this agreement means to you. Explain how people might hold others to a higher standard than they do themselves. How do you feel about gossip, lies and using words to harm others? How about verbal bullying? Giving the silent treatment or being screamed at? Or how does it feel when it is directed at you? How do you overcome this? Have you ever done any of these to someone? What’s the long-term effects of this? You might discuss how you disagree with the book or if you realize you have not been impeccable with your word.
