Is religion the cause of war[jm2]
Many wars have erupted around the world due to a variety of factors including[jm3] natural disasters such as floods and droughts, terrorism, political rivalries, leaders’ hunger for power, ethnic divisions, racism, tribalism, and economic inequities within a country’s borders (Manning, 2020). Religion, on the other hand, plays a significant role in international violence. This is due to ideological variations and individual beliefs that reflect various convictions.[jm4]
For example, there is a contentious fight between Muslims and Christians because their beliefs and rules are incompatible. Religions clashes, such as the one between Muslims and Christians, have led to horrific battles in the past (Miller, 2019). Both believers exploit and insult the other when they hold crusades to propagate their gospel.
Christianity has traditionally presented itself as the best religion in the universe, claiming to be the only faith capable of rescuing souls from demonic possession. Christianity is practiced by a sizable[jm5] portion of the population (Juergensmeyer, 2019). Unfortunately, this is where Christianity gets away with all of its previous shady practices. The Christian leaders use their system of beliefs to brainwash their followers. These actions do not reflect the innocent individuals that Christians claim to be in society’s view.
Because they both have different ideological ideas and none has a greater [jm6] power over the other, there have been occasional wars between the Islamic and Christian religions. The disparity between the two has resulted in global wars. Despite their differences, both have contributed to society’s well-being by ensuring peace and order (Manning, 2020). This is true since studies have shown that societies with religious beliefs tend to live in a more peaceful manner. This is due to the fact that religion has a strong influence on individuals who adhere to it.[jm7]
SINCE YOU HAVE AN INTRODUCTION. A CONCLUSION IS IMPORTANT. NOT ONLY SO THAT YOU CAN SUMMARIZE YOUR IDEAS BUT ALSO GIVE THE READER CLOSURE CONCERNING THE DEBATE.
