Karl Marx’s social conflict theory
According to Karl Marx, individuals in the society struggle for limited resources, which leads to an agonistic relationship among the different social classes, especially capital owners. The result of constant competition for the limited resources is a constant state of conflict. Marx argues that every human has natural instincts of conflict. He argues that conflict is part of human nature and, therefore it is inevitable. The theory is the worst because it neglects social stability by focusing on social change. For example, the rich may support their access to improve education and neglect measures that enhance access to education, such as public funding or affirmative action.
