The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) is a federal privacy law that safeguards individuals from personally identifiable health information. The policy has several goals, including protecting health data confidentiality and health insurance coverage for patients and health care providers. 
It plays a significant role in protecting data, especially during system implementation. According to Kruse et al. (2017), healthcare data breaches can have negative personal and social consequences for patients and their relatives. Thus to avoid such security problems, management and preservation of private data must include AI and machine learning. Both enable the anonymization of healthcare data while maintaining value and preventing sensitive data from leaking.
HIPAA policy has a significant impact on clinical care. It controls who can access health data, restricting who may read and disseminate it. HIPAA ensures that whatever information is provided to healthcare professionals, as well as data created, transmitted, and maintained by them, are protected (Moore
