The dance industry is a 2 billion dollar industry with a 2.9% growth per year. (IBIS, 2015) The popularity of social dancing, combined with the interest of trendy dances and technology has proven to work, for the now leading dance groups on YouTube.  
 
YouTube claims to have 800 million monthly unique visitors, which is more than the entire population of Europe.
 
 
 
Each month, more than 6 billion hours of videos are watched on YouTube. That’s about an hour for each person on Earth. With this staggering statistics it is for sure that YouTube is an emerging platform.
